Core Labour Policy Statement

1. Statement of Intent

Bang Packaging is deeply committed to upholding the highest ethical and social standards throughout our operations and supply chains in accordance with Local Victorian state laws. Our Core Labour Policy is adopted across our business manufacturing facility located in Victoria, Australia.

2. Core Principles & Commitments

  • Abolition of Child Labour: We strictly prohibit the employment of children. The minimum age for employment at Bang Packaging matches or exceeds the legal school-leaving age, ensuring no worker under the age of 15 is hired. Furthermore, no worker under the age of 18 will be employed in heavy, hazardous, or night work, fully aligning with Victoria’s Child Employment Act 2003.
  • Elimination of Forced or Compulsory Labour: All employment relationships are strictly voluntary and based on mutual consent. We do not engage in or tolerate any form of forced, bonded, or compulsory labour. Workers retain full freedom of movement, and we do not withhold wages, original personal identification documents, passports, or training certificates as a condition of employment.
  • No Discrimination: We are committed to a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying. Equal opportunity is guaranteed across all employment practices, including hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, and termination. Decisions are based strictly on qualifications and skills, without regard to race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or political opinion, in compliance with the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
  • Freedom of Association: We respect the legal right of all employees to form, join, or assist worker organizations, trade unions, or associations of their own choosing, without fear of retaliation, intimidation, or discrimination.
  • Right to Collective Bargaining: We recognize and respect the right of our workers to engage in collective bargaining. Bang Packaging will bargain in good faith with lawfully established worker representatives or trade unions to establish fair, legal, and mutually acceptable working conditions, in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
